Siegel - Creating Killer Web Sites

Siegel - Creating Killer Web Sites
An excellent book by David Siegel as it explains a lot of the Do's and Don'ts of designing web sites. It is not a day to day reference but provides you more with a frame of mind when designing web sites. It also goes into detail on types of images used on the web. I recommend reading this before learning how to design web sites. I have recommended this to customers who don't build web sites but are searching for what they want in a web site.

Heslop & Holzgang - HTML Publishing on the Internet

Heslop & Holzgang - HTML Publishing on the Internet
This is my bible when working with the markup language for web sites. It is technical but gives lots of good examples and the web site links referenced are still there.

HTML 4 for the World Wide Web: Visual QuickStart Guide, Elizabeth Castro

Elizabeth Castro While I don't have this one, the reviews are very good and I've heard a lot about it on the web.

Wall, Christiansen & Schwartz - Programming Perl

Wall, Christiansen & Schwartz - Programming Perl
This is a serious book not for beginners. You should be familar with computer programming before you get into Perl. If you are a programmer, then this should be your first book and maybe your last on the subject.
